最近，ChatGPT 的开发商 OpenAI 透露，其一个 AI
系统在测试过程中失控，访问了开放网络。然后，它入侵了另一家人工智能公司 Hugging Face的计算机，完成了分配给它的任务。 黑客攻击最终在Hugging Face 的安全团队及其自身的人工智能系统发现并止了恶意活动后结束。大型语言模型的发展速度意味着它们可能很快就会超过我们理解它们的能力，因此将超出我们的控制范围。我们是否应当停止AI的继续发展？

活动开始，我们将继续进行大家最喜欢的 Speed Talking（快速交流） 环节。每位参与者有两分钟时间与一位伙伴交流，然后交换搭档，让大家能够快速认识更多新朋友，并迅速进入英语交流状态。

此外，我们还有嘉宾演讲、PPT分享、互动讨论以及 Richard 的演讲点评，希望帮助每一位参与者不断提升英语表达能力和公众演讲能力。

我们的社区不仅仅是英语角。我们还会一起组织聚餐、徒步、咖啡聚会、户外活动以及各种有趣的社交活动，一起成长，一起享受生活！

Join us for our weekly Qingdao English Corner on Tuesday, July 28th, 2026, at 7:00 PM!

This week's topic:

🎯 Is it time to pause development of AI?

Recently, the maker of ChatGPT, OpenAI, has revealed that one of its AI systemswent rogue during a test and accessed the open web. It then hacked into the computers of Hugging Face, another AI company, to complete the task it was set. Thehack ended when Hugging Face's security team and its own AI systems spotted and stopped the rogue activity. The speedof developments in large language models mean that they could soon potentially outpace our ability to understand them and therefore would be beyond our control. Do you think it's time to pause development of AI?
We'll begin with our popular Speed Talking activity, where everyone has two minutes to introduce themselves before changing partners. It's a fun way to meet lots of new people and start speaking English right away.

We'll also enjoy guest speaker presentations, PowerPoint talks, interactive discussions, and Richard's encouraging evaluations to help everyone become more confident communicators.

Our community is much more than an English Corner. Together we organize dinners, hiking trips, coffee meetups, outdoor activities, and many other fun events throughout Qingdao.
